Basically black tea is Chai or Tea simply as you call it, brewed with selected spices and milk. Every added ingredient has a different flavor and changes in the brewing methods which vary widely affects the distinct taste of a tea. Specially the tea or Chai tastes vary according to the place it comes from.
Black tea variants are tea leaves with a good aroma and little sugar, some people add lemon rind for that magical taste. The tea leaves are added to the boiling water and not boiled beyond a limit , also they are covered with a lid so the aroma remains intact inside. Some people add other spices to it and some add milk, sugar for a rich lively taste.
Black tea is a variety of tea which is more oxidized than the oolong, green, and white varieties. All the varieties of Tea leaves come from the plant called Camellia sinensis. Black tea is specially stronger in flavor and contains more caffeine than its less oxidized competitors. Two principal varieties of the species used, are the small-leaved Chinese variety plant, and the large-leaved Assamese plant. Black tea is a source of caffeine, that stimulates the central nervous system, relaxes smooth muscle in the airways to the lungs, stimulates the heart, and acts on the kidney as a diuretic.
