Cold Brew Coffee
Apart from the overall taste what separates cold coffee from the hot variety is the acid and bite of the coffee and the most likely reaction would either its fantastic or plain horrible. Also different varieties will respond to cold brewing differently, so it's hard to predict.
Brewing cold coffee is child’s play, literally. Here is a step-by-step instruction on how to brew cold coffee:
1. Put one pound of your favorite ground coffee in the brewing container
2. Add approximately 9 cups of water without stirring, slowly; making sure that the coffee is fully wet.
3. Let the coffee "brew" overnight for approximately 12 hours
Decant the coffee by pulling out the cork in the bottom of the brewer and letting it flow into the glass carafe
4. Voila! You now have cold brew coffee concentrate
NOTE: Remember to keep your cold brew coffee concentrate in the fridge! Also you need to be creative with your coffee concentrate, you can convert it into an Espresso or Mocha or your own recipe, the choice is entirely yours! |
