| One of the most widely available coffees of Ethiopia is the Harrar coffee. Grown mostly in the eastern part of the country on small peasant farms, this coffee is distinguished into three types – Shortberry Harrar, Longberry Harrar & Mocha Harrar. Processed using the traditional dry method, Harrar is basically a “handmade” coffee. Being handmade & grown on a limited scale, this coffee type is almost chemical free. |

| Sidamo |

| Sidamo or the washed coffee of southern Ethiopia has the same winey tones as Harrar coffee but are richer, heavier & with longer body. These may usually be found in specialty stores renowned as Ethiopian Estate Grown or Ethiopian Fancies. |

| The most celebrated coffees of Ethiopia is the Yirgacheffe coffee. Similar to the Yemen & Sumatran coffees, this coffee is also teasing, rich & mysterious. The Yirgacheffe also has an acidic vibrancy but with distinctive flowery, soft & fragrant notes. This coffee type is often considered as one of the world’s most unique coffees. |
