Coffee Beans of Mexico
Though coffee was introduced into Mexico in the 18th century, it was not until the 1870’s that it started being exported in major quantities. Mexico today is renowned as being one of the leading sources of coffee imports in the US. The southern part of the country is the region for the major part of Mexico’s coffee plantation. Though the region mostly produces lowland coffee, also produced are high-quality coffees like Altura & Pluma.
Notable Mexico Coffee Beans
| Altura |
 |
| The name Altura literally signifies that the coffee bean type is grown in the high mountains of Mexico. Considered amongst some of the finest coffees in the world, the Altura coffee is a medium bodied bean with a mild, nutty & slightly sweet taste. These beans are especially roasted in the Viennese style of roasting. The beans so produced have a light sheen caused as a result of sweat oil added to them to make them stronger to taste. |

In order to ensure well-rounded, deliciously smooth Arabica coffee, these are grown & harvested using the age-old traditional techniques. |
