Coffee Urn is a large pot for making coffee and keeping it hot for a long time.
A Coffee Urn is a large sized percolator often utilized at banquet halls, churches, motel lobbies, and more. Mostly this appliance is capable of making 30 to 100 cups of coffee.
The Coffee urn stores coffee similar to the keg that stores beer. The only difference is that, the keg stores cold beer and Coffee Urn stores coffee at proper serving temperature. To serve coffee at large gatherings while the coffee is still hot, Coffee Urn is used. Generally there are two types of urns for serving coffee. Firstly the urn which both brews and serves the coffee and secondly coffee prepared in separate coffee maker, which is then poured in the urn for serving.
Either insulation or an electric heating element is used in the urn to keep it warm. The Coffee Urn holds large amounts of coffee say up to 12 to 30 cups in small urns and 50 to 60 cups in large urns. |
